Tracy and I went to a private tour of a local glass-blowing studio on Saturday (with the Everett Cultural Commission). Jim Mongrain has an awesome studio. Glass blowers from around the world rent his space for projects. It is located about 7 mile south of Everett in Mukilteo. It reminds me of Saugatuck. Jim worked under Dale Chihuly--probably the most recognized name in glass blowing. Jim recently did $30k chandelier (for free) for the ABC show "Extreme Makeovers - Home Edition." Jim and his girlfriend live in Everett and have four (yes four) cats. Check out his website.

Wow! That looks awesome. I was always amazed by the glass blowers at Greenfield Village in Dearborn. I can only imagine what seeing someone's work who worked with Dale C. was like. Too cool!
