Houdini

We kenneled both the Benson and the cat Lexi while we visit Michigan this past month. We picked the K9 Korral because the offer daycare for Benson during the day. They have a huge play area, and lots of dogs to socialize with. Benson never liked being caged up, so we were lucky to find a facility that had lots of out-of-the-kennel time. The runs that they keep the dogs in are pretty big with heated floors and a doggy door so that he can go outside. He is in the run on weekends and at night.

When we picked up Benson, the owner (George) said that he had encountered a "first" while we were on vacation. After many years in business and over 3,500 boarded dogs, no dog has ever figured out how to open the latch and get out of their kennel. But Benson did it three times! I guess we need to call him Houdini now. George had to put a second lock on the cage to prevent him from getting out and harassing all the other dogs. I can just see Benson running around saying, "I got out, nana nana foo foo." He is such a naughty dog!
