Fair Trade Tree

We put up our first full size Christmas Tree since moving to Everett. We bought a cute little five-foot Noble Fir. We found some really neat ornaments from One World Projects an organization who works with artisans around the world. We bought painted and carved gourds from Peru. We also bought Orange Peel People from Columbia and Bolivia. For the past couple years I have gotten some small artist prints from a friend I work with. The small pictures of fruit and birds were perfect to fill in where the tree had natural voids. To add some fun, I got some Starlightz Paper Lanterns. I may just keep these up year-round.

I suppose the tree wouldn't win any fancy decorating contest, but it couldn't be more special to us. Here are some photos.
