A Summer Visitor

Tracy and I are always happy when someone comes to visit in the Summer. It is certainly our best season. We get very little rain, lots of sunshine, moderate temps, few bugs... summers here are perfect. Tracy's mom visited for about a week. We had a great visit. Here are some of the things we did during her visit:

We went to Deception Pass. It is the main waterway to get from the Seattle/Everett area up into the San Juan Islands. The currents get really fast, and the water is crystal green like Key West. The bridge connects Whidbey Island to the mainland.

Once on Whidbey Island, we stopped in Coupeville. It is the town near Penn Cove... where all the Mussells and Oysters come from. We stopped at Toby's Tavern--a hotspot for fresh mussells and good beer.

We also visited the Everett Farmers Market. It is every Sunday. Tons of flowers and fresh veggies.

And of course, we took several road trips to Seattle. Benson had fun riding along with us everywhere. Pike Place is always a fun stop.

Farmer's Market on Sunday? Really? I always thought those were Saturday things.

Benson's hat is super cute.
