Nice Weather, Nice Progress

Our primary house project right now is getting ready for new shingles on our roof. Several things need to be repaired or rebuilt prior to re-roofing... soffit and fascia repair, built-in gutter repair, venting, front porch rebuild, etc. It is all tied together. Once all the repair/rebuild is done, we can re-roof and paint the house.

Tracy started rebuilding the soffit, fascia, and gutter system over a bay window where our breakfast nook is. It was a test run before starting the repair on the rest of the house. It was a long and tedious project, but it turned our really nice.

We have now started on the rest of the house and have someone helping us while we are at work. The extra help has been very nice because we can actual see some progress. I plan to get some photos this weekend to post to the blog.

The weather this past week was very hot, breaking the highest temp level at over 100 degrees. But hot is better than rain when you are outside working. So life is good.
