No more naked bottom. Although we still have one more coat of bottom paint, and a bright shiny blue boot-stripe to apply... she's looking like a boat that can float. The boatyard that is helping us with the final tasks is swamped right now, and it seems like we are not always making the priority list, but slowly but surely things are getting done.Today we wet sanded the hull right up to grey stripe where the blue boot-stripe is going to go. Tracy did a once-over with buffing compound on one side. It is starting to look pretty. It should be a pretty productive week with the final buffing, final layer of bottom paint, the boot-strip and some other minor things. We may stick it in the water without the mast. Won't that look weird! We are fixing some of the lights on the mast and touching up some of the scratches with fresh paint. We'll see if it gets done before she floats. She'll be in the water before we return to Michigan.
