Rainy Day

Well, Sunday was a rainy day. Which gave us a little respite from boat work. We are getting ready for our third coat of paint on the Boot Stripe. It is very pretty. We will know more on the float date come Monday. We are receiving some pressure from the Port to put it in our moorage as soon as possible, but there is also someone who works at the Port that may want to lease the slip until month's end. That may work out well since we will be traveling home this month. We would just put it in the water after that. Not sure what we are going to do yet. But it will be pretty much ready to go this week. But we have lots we can still tinker with if necessary.

Saturday we made a very large and difficult boat purchase. No it was not dock lines, engine, anchor, fenders, dinghy, or navigational instruments... it was our grill. Yes, our grill. The local marine store had a big sale and demo on Saturday (with a hot dog cookout and all), and we walked away with some good deals. A Magma Grill, serving tray, set of pans, and a fancy little sunbrella cover. We couldn't decide between the typical round grill for sailboats or the more back-yard, rectangle style. We went with the one with the most features. Although we liked the form of the round grill, we went with the function of the square one. Hopefully we'll be able to cook something up for you on it real soon! Lodging on the Gilson boat is always free!

Great purchase! We have the Newport Magma grill and love it. I think it's nicer then the round one we had with our previous boat.
