Highlights from our Trip to Michigan

Tracy and I had a great time visiting Michigan last week. Here are some of the highlights:
We borrowed Kelly's truck, which was a wonderful blessing. He left the canoe on the top to make us feel right at home. It was very cool.
We spent a lot of time with family. Gaby and Isabel are getting so big. It was fun to hang out and have conversations with them. It was great to see Tonie and Charlie too. Tonie made our day when she bought some Bells Beer -- she landed us... hook, line, and sinker. We stayed at Kristie and Rich's "bed and breakfast." It was very comfortable and relaxing. But I think we broke their coffee maker. Sorry Kristie. That was not a very "Seattle" thing to do was it? My mom and dad were also very happy to see us. It was fun to catch up with them and see pictures of their renovated condo in Florida.
We had a great time catching up with Tracy's family too. We went out to Grand Haven a couple times to see Tracy's dad. We went to see a blue grass band in Spring Lake one night (and saw some wonderful friends from our Colima Mission Team) and walked the pier on another. Tracy's mom drove over from Lansing and we had a nice dinner with her, grandma, and a few extended family (Dan, Brenda, Kyle, Mary... not to mention Kelly and Remington).
To round out the weekend, we also were able to catch up with friends. Dale had a "turning 40" b-day party on his boat in Spring Lake, I had coffee with Mary and Linda (and kids - fun to see), and went to Tania and Jason's Wedding. Tania is a good friend from Metro. It was great to see Anne, Kim, Marie, and Amy at the wedding. So much has changed in each of our lives, yet the smiles, laughs, and memories remained the same. It felt good.
We returned to Seattle to great weather and happy pets. Our next focus is to get the boat ready for its first sail. This summer should bring great adventure!
