Green Living Expo in West Seattle

Tracy and I attended the Green Living Expo on Sunday in West Seattle. It was very interesting and informative. Tracy was in his element, and the West Seattle area is beautiful. It is a peninsula off Seattle, with great views of Seattle across the sound. And it was a beautiful day. My favorite parts included the shared organic garden with an artwork fence and a raindrop pattern etched into the sidewalks.

Here are some more highlights, and even a VIDEO:

-Tours thru idea-filled Built Green model homes.
-Small group tours with the cities top Architects, Civil Engineers and Developers to learn about how to do green the right way.
-High Point tours include the natural drainage system, environmental art, Long Fellow Creek watershed trail, landscaping and tree preservation.
-Learn how to choose green materials and strategies for building and remodeling.
-Discover how you can make GREEN part of your daily life!
-Attend free seminars for the public covering topics such as green home remodeling, retrofitting your home to be energy-efficient, becoming an eco-consumer, natural yard care and solar energy.
-Seminars for builders, developers, and architects introducing new green building techniques and encouraging their support and participation in sustainable development.
-View exhibits and meet area vendors and experts in the latest in green technology, products and services.
-Pickup on the latest ideas in recycling, chemical free gardening, energy and water conservation.
