Our boat has a cute little fireplace. It is called a Ratelco Cole Stove. It can heat the whole boat for four hours on wood or charcoal. The sliding door on the front can be removed so that you can enjoy a crackling fire over dinner and roast marshmallows for dessert. Many of the items on the boat - like the stove, the lamps, the ice box - are very practical... things that don't require electric or battery power for long voyages. Hmmm. Only time will tell.
P.S. Don't worry mom, we have THREE fire extinguishers on the boat... and a carbon dioxide detector.
