Thing #7 -- Good Coffee! Coffee is very important to Tracy and me... even before moving to the Northwest. So we didn't skimp when looking for a good "coffee solution" for the boat. We decided on a french press not only because it makes the best coffee, but it also doesn't require electric to make it "go." Anchored at sea, we can heat the water using our alcohol stove; on shore, we use a plug-in water heater. Two additional amazing features of this coffee press are it's size (a whopping 48 ounces), and the fact that it is insulated-- two hard-to-find "perks" in terms of french presses (pardon the pun). It is made by Porter Products in case you want to check it out. It makes a great cup of coffee. Cheers!

We bought a Straybucks stainless steel press, but doesn't have the capacity large capacity of yours, nor is it very well insulated. Something else we have learned about you two - the coffee thing. We love ours as well and have two coffee makers as Maggie likes hers very strong.
Thanks for keeping up your Blog and we will Pray for your mom's recovery.
