Colima - The Work

Tracy and I had a great time in Colima. This year marked Tracy's seventh year on a team and my sixth. The orphanage is growing... almost 180 kids. They have started new orphanages in other cities and are planning to expand more. This is a tribute to the great leadership and church support they have.

This year we worked in Esperanza again. Last year we put up the walls, and this year we did some finishing work on the inside. You will see that it was pretty much a mess at the beginning. We needed to haul clean fill sand in to cover all the surfaces; then we need to level the floors and lay cement (no cement trucks either!). Then we tiled the floors. We had about four rooms and a porch that we worked on. We even worked on some flower beds around the building.

Here are some progress photos from just the kitchen, the main room, and the flower beds... and a few other fun shots.
