According to Wikipedia, March 21, 2007 is the first day of spring this year. It has something to do with the equinox... highly technical stuff. But thanks to Wikipedia, I was able to include some additional information about it below. Enjoy! It has been pretty spring-like lately. We have flowers blooming, pretty mild weather, and we actually needed to cut our lawn this weekend. We invested in a Lawn Hawg electric mower last year. Our yard is too big for the reel push mower (click, click, click kind), so we had to upgrade to the also-environmental whisper quiet electric version. We absolutely hate mowing the lawn and dream of the day when there is very little grass and lots of native plants. Benson also enjoyed rolling around in the long grass before we chopped it all off with the mower.
First Day of Spring - Wikipedia
An equinox in astronomy is the event when the Sun can be observed to be directly above the Earth's equator, occurring around March 20 and September 23 each year. More technically, the equinox happens when the Sun is at one of two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator and ecliptic intersect. In a wider sense, the equinoxes are the two days each year when the center of the Sun spends an equal amount of time above and below the horizon at every location on Earth. The word equinox derives from the Latin words aequus (equal) and nox (night).

What did you do with your "click click click" mower? Too bad you can't fax it to me and I'd buy it from you!
