An Irish Stew

We had such great stew at Kells in Seattle, I thought I'd try and make a batch this weekend. The stew at Kells is made with lamb. I think the lamb really made it flavorful. I found a recipe on-line for Irish Beef Stew. I thought I would try that first. It seemed easier. Maybe I'll try lamb on the next batch.

The nice thing about this recipe is that it calls for a cup of Irish Stout and a cup of fine red wine... hmmm. I couldn't find either in a "cup" size. And you have to buy a whole six pack of the beer. Leftovers are grand.
