Pumpkins

Last night Tracy and I went to a pumpkin carving contest at our neighbors house. Stan and Colleen live at the bottom of the hill, and we also church with them. Stan owns a local stained glass shop and won artist of the year in our county last year.

The biggest problem about the party was the "carving" part. Neither of us had carved a pumpkin for years. We didn't even know where to start. We did some research and decided to go with a more "Martha Stewart" kinda look, rather than scary faces or black cats.

We went to a farm out in the country to pick the pumpkins. We couldn't decide on what to get, so we got a couple green ones, and about four squash. We only carved two at the party and ended up getting sixth place. Not bad for a couple rookies!
