We are still recovering... partly because it always changes your heart, but this year we both got the respiratory flu while we were there. Here are some photo highlights.
Half of the time we were there, Tracy and I worked with several other people painting the exterior of one of the homes. It was a big project, but we managed to get it complete.
The other half, we worked on bricking a perimeter wall at the orphanage in the village of Esperanza. I was one of the brick girls. I would soak the brick and then hand them up to the handsome brick layers for placement.
While bricking in Esperanza, we got a glimpse of the volcano sending out some steam.
We took a half-day excursion to a beach called Playa Paraiso about 30 miles away to check out the shopping and the waves. But a storm ripped through recently and there wasn't much in terms of shopping and the waves were to big for swimming.
And of course, the kids are always the biggest highlight.

Wow. Another Mexico trip. Glad you got a pix of you with the bricks. Those make me smile. You're such a good builder!
