Netflix Movies

As some of you know, Tracy and I are TV-less. We've been that way since we lived in Holland... when Tracy took out the cable wire accidentally with back-hoe equipment. We kept the TV for a while for movies, but never moved it out to Everett. Now we have two computers-- a laptop and a desktop with big flat-screen monitor for watching movies.

As a treat last fall, we signed up for Netflix. With Netflix, you pick out your movies on-line, and they get shipped to your home. When you are done watching them, they go back in the mail... and then they ship another. We only get one movie at a time, but you can sign up for any amount. You can build up a list of movies you want to see, watch previews on-line, and even watch some movies instantly on your computer. It is pretty fun. We pay about $8 a month.

This week, I received a "refer-a-friend promotion" in the email. It gives you a free 30-day trial. Normally they only offer a two-week trial, so its kinda a good deal. Let me know if you are interested in it... I'll email it to you!

What movie did we just watch? Spitfire Grill
What movie is next on our list? The Golden Compass
Best movie so far? A tie: Life as a House and Constant Gardener
Worst movie so far? 40 year old virgin... had to stop the movie after 15 minutes
