Tis the Season

With the farmers in full swing, Tracy and I decided to sign up again for a weekly produce box ... this time from Klesick Family Farm. Delivered local produce isn't as fun as going to the farmer's market, but it sure is easy and consistent!

The produce box is delivered every Tuesday right to our door and is filled with goodies from local farmers, bakers, coffee roasters, etc. And you can order extra things as you need them. The box sure makes it easy to eat healthier and try new things. But we'll still try to make it to the farmers market occasionally for the beautiful flowers!

Here is what is fresh this week from Klesick Farm:

Cameo Apples
Strawberries
Grapefruit
Bananas
Galia Melon
Autumn Bartlett Pears
Broccoli
Cucumbers
Mini Peel Carrots
Red Potatoes
Red Leaf Lettuce
Tomatoes
Asparagus ;)

Bon appetite!

Wow! What a haul. Is it expensive?

Wow, what a great idea! I wonder if we have anything like that around here... I'll have to investigate!

They are able to grow all these locally in Washington State this time of year? I can see some of this being grown hydroponically, but not Bananas and Grapefruit. How do they do that?
