What a crazy winter we have had so far here in Washington. In December we actually had snowstorms at sea level, enough snow to stay on the roads for days. They really don't plow or salt here when it snows... just not enough plows to cover all the roads, and I think most cities have banned salting for environmental reasons. So people just didn't drive in it at all. The storms lasted for about two weeks. Not many people made it in for work. And now that it is warming up... guess what???? Flooding. All the mountain passes are closed because of avalanches and mudslides and the rivers are swelling beyond recognition. We are staying pretty high and dry in Everett for some reason, but it is going crazy both north and south of us.

Glad to hear the bad weather hasn't affected you. We get some mudslides and flooding in San Diego when it rains, but nothing as bad as that picture you posted! The most annoying thing about the weather here is that when it does rain, people freak out about the wet pavement and drive like morons.
