It has been a couple months now with only one vehicle. Tracy took his Suburban into the shop for some service and they said that there was "little they could do to save her." She had nearly 300,000 miles on her and was about 15 years old. Because of all the rust underneath, she just wasn't safe to drive anymore. And it would have cost a lot of money to replace all the things that needed replacing. Lucky for us, we both work really close to home.
Now that we are a one-car family, Tracy has been eyeing a new commuter bike by Civia. I am sure it won't be too long before it replaces the truck's spot in the driveway. It gets pretty good gas mileage and has a pretty small carbon footprint.Stay tuned.

300,000! That's amazing.
And think of the health benefits too!
Time for a new post!
